Clock brews craft lagers and ales in Potstejn, East Bohemia, since 2014 and these guys started as homebrewers simply crafting the beer they just wanna drink. And one to their expectation as beer lovers.
On the branding side, this has always been around the robot theme and has remained as such, bringing in quite a unique brand image. The think is the beer and its image was so good that Clock hipsters were constantly sold out which led them to expand the production site, buying and beautifully reconstructing an old factory. The Fenetra project with wild fermentation followed suit with the last investment being the new taproom in 2022.
Nowadays Clock is a modern yet charming brewery definitely worth visiting and which success is underpinned by numbers: Indeed, output rose from an initial 700 Hl to about 9000 Hl! – importantly, this being achieved under the original independent & enthusiastic ownership.
Crafted excellence blends tradition and innovation, offering incredible flavours
Potstejn, East Bohemia
Golden colour, think white head. A balanced lager with Pilsener malt and Saaz hops. Generous malt content with stronger sharpness and medium bitterness – the emphasis is put on the aroma side of Saaz hops seeking to achieve high drinkability.
A Classic double mashed Pilsener lager with golden colour and thick head. The beer itself looks very bright with a very distinctive Saaz hops flavour. This lager definitely features a higher bitterness which is also due to dry hopping.
The best gluten reduced beer from the Czech Republic? We think so. A very drinkable light ale with citrusy notes, mosaic hops and malt from sorghum (the Bohemian "Ruzrok" variety) that reduces gluten content to as low as 10 mg/l thus making it suitable for coeliacs.
Reddish colour. A refreshing aroma of citrus and other tropical fruits. Medium malt body with lower sharpness having been generously fermented. Citra and Centennial are the stars here used both during cooking and dry -hopping. The beer features a hight yet balanced bitterness.
One of the best ales coming from the Czech Republic - a dark golden colour, greatly holding head, full body and citrusy, tropical fruits, resinous and herbal note.
